New site now live
New website, new era..
Apart from a few tweaks here and there, the new SMC SEO site is up and running. The migration from the previous Joomla site went well and was fairly trouble free considering this is only my second WP build.
This time I decided to build the site from scratch rather than using someone else’s template as with the previous Joomla site – although there was very little of the original template left by the time I had butchered the CSS.
The previous site was fine but it didn’t really encourage any form of interaction and just looked dated somehow. I decided to migrate over to WordPress for the new site because of the seamless blog integration. Also, the quality of the plug ins is generally better, particularly as far as SEO is concerned. Dynamic sitemap.xml generators anyone? The old site performed well in the searches so it will be interesting to see the comparison.
Anyway, I’d better get started on those 301 re-directs. I hope you like the new site.
